Homepointr

In 2018 I collaborated with a small startup called Nagne to design Homepointr, an app for the third sector. Our goal was to create a “Zoopla” for social housing in Scotland, simplifying the process of listing and finding homes for councils and social landlords.

I worked with a programmer and a product designer to analyse user research, map user journeys, and develop a high-fidelity prototype.

Homepointr was a complex and ambitious project designed to tackle inefficiencies in Scotland’s social housing system. Applicants often faced excessive waitlists, while many homes remained vacant due to outdated, cumbersome processes.

The challenge was to create a platform that bridged these gaps by simplifying workflows for landlords and empowering users to find suitable housing more efficiently. The design had to accommodate diverse user needs, integrate with existing council systems, and remain intuitive for non-technical users.

This project pushed my technical and creative skills, while deepening my understanding of designing for socially impactful challenges.
